Opinion/Editorial
Ryan Rayzer at LukeFord.com noticed that Monique Alexander no longer has the “Vivid Contract Girl” tag under her name when listed at LA Direct. It’s been a full day and as of this second, she still isn’t listed as a Vivid girl. LA Direct has since updated their site but didn’t update her tag yet. Could be a mistake on LA Direct’s part. But they have updated since and this story has been out a full day already. Ryan has been trying to get through to Vivid but offices are closed on weekends and he’ll probably get word back tomorrow.
Monique’s name is listed in Vivid’s press release announcing their 25th anniversary party on January 9. Monique’s name is mentioned alongside Hanna Hilton, Nikki Jayne, Sunny Leone, Meggan Mallone, and Savanna Samson. Either something just happened and Monique was let go. Or she left on her own like a few of the other Vivid girls who have also recently jumped ship.
If Monique was let go, then it’s a load of karma thrown back at her for her views on women. While at the ‘Nightline Face-Off’ sex week at Yale porn debate Februaary 2008, she said she feels no sympathy at all for the women in porn who have had bad experiences. I’m sure her former best friend Stefani Morgan would find that hard to believe considering Monique was passed out while Stefani was being raped by their boss Bill Asher.

At the end of 2008 on a Youtube interview, Monique said she did not know if Vivid was going to renew her contract, because she had gotten so many tattoos. She also mentioned that she’d been in porn for six years and that she wasn’t getting younger. I got the feeling she was not sure if she wanted to continue as well.
It would not be odd for Monique to be at AVN if her contract was not being renewed. Lanny and Mercedes also ended their Vivid contracts with an AVN appearance as did Lexie Marie.

Monique was also available via a few madams in 2008, which makes me thinks she needed a cash infusion. She’s always been the type that picked and chose what she’d do, so something must be up with her.

Really? Thanks! That’s a scoop. I went to Youtube and there’s one two weeks ago with Jimmy Canon and it’s the only one I can’t hear which makes me think it’s the one. lol Is that one it?

But why would they care about tattoos when Tera Patrick and Janine are covered? Unless because Tera has her own company and Janine is not really contract anymore?
Thanks again!

So the Earl might be selling Monique`s pussy?
He seems to have the monopoly on Vivid Girls other business.

I also noticed that Mo seems to have gone veggie. No Boy/Girl anymore?

Hmmm, you think the tattoos and no boy/girl is what got her fired?

Janine is not under contract anymore.
This is the video I saw of Monique on YouTube

She was available via the usual suspects on the Erotic Review earlier this year. It was surprising to me that she’d be so public about it, but she must’ve desperately needed the cash.

I don’t know the exact reason why her contract was not renewed, but Mo did point out a valid reason why it might not be.

Thanks so much for the video links!! I updated both Monique posts.
Is it Monique’s medical expenses or does she have a suitcase pimp taking all her money for her to escort?
Medical reasons, not working with the men, and tattoos?

Do you know what this story was about? Who was the guy Janine worked with that is so shocking and why hasn’t the movie come out yet like it was suppose to months ago? I asked on XPT and no one knew.

Maybe she does have high medical bills. Very few performers have insurance, even the ones that make good $$$.

The only performers I know that have medical insurance are Gia J and Lela Star.

Wow, if they don’t even buy themselves medical insurance, which really isn’t that complicated, I wonder how many pay their taxes?
iwasthere

Many leave the industry with tax issues. They don’t realize that they have to pay quarterly.
Aria owed back taxes when she left. Porche Lynn had some tax issues a few years ago. I think it is intoxicating for the girls to make a huge amount of cash and they forget to put something away for taxes. One Penthouse Pet told me that she spends everything she makes.

Somebody should really start up some organization like AIM, only for finances. And, with money, there really are answers unlike with health when you’re letting all kinds of random people squirt their bodily juices inside you. I bet you could even make a few dollars. There’d have to be some kind of free public service like a web site with information alerting to a few basic financial things and the horror stories that can result. Just basic things that any responsible individual of 25 years old knows. Then, you have a link where they can contact for a consultation, etc.. You’d want it to be well known in the industry so these whores that don’t know who to trust with their money feel safe. And, you wouldn’t do any advanced financial dealings that would basically be volunteering to be a part of some porn scandal where somebody decides to slam your reputation. If you just informed them of basic things like how much money you’ll have if you saved a third of your income or even a more conservative approach of saving a tenth, you’d be doing a great service and could probably make some money to boot. I bet the porn whores don’t even know about SEP IRA’s. I know the NBA and NFL player’s unions do the same thing for their rookies.

That will work for the smarter whores but lets face it. PW are not the kind of women tha care about their long term future. They mostly live for the next fix and the next Jimmy Choos.

You think it’s so bad that if it were easily explained and made available to them, they still wouldn’t get it?
At least some of that has got to be they were never exposed to it.

Hey, they know about STDs and get some, they know about getting pregnant and get abortions. They know about abusive males and get suitcase pimps.
I guess the thinking mercenary kind of whore like Sinammon Love or the thinking sex freak like Gia Jordan can use the information but they are a small minority.
The Childhood abuse PW will not, she will most likely is mentally ill (PTSD, BI POLAR or MPD) and addicted to drugs and they are the largest group of sex workers.
The Antihero PW will not, she most likely is rebeling against middle class values so she did not care about being carefully with money, often heavy drug users and or Bipolar too.
The naive mercenary is too dumb to understand anything.

Yeah, I guess if I were gonna run go off and try to start that after I got my financial training, then I’d have to just start it as a sideline. See how many whores I could talk into it without sinking my entire work time into it.
I bet if I just showed up at Porn Star Karaoke one time though, I could walk out with at least 5 clients.

You have no idea of how close many performers play it to the bone with stuff like having enough money for rent. If it is the end of the month, there is always someone who’ll do b/g for $500 or less, because they need to make rent. You’ve gotta remember how many girls are brought and housed; doing it themselves is very hard. You wouldn’t believe some of the human trafficking involved in this industry. People are just trying to survive as sex workers. The days of being able to work several days in row and then going home with thousands in profit is over.

There was a guy that sold insurance to performers. He admitted that he had more success selling insurance to the 90s generation than the current generation. And it is ironic, because the current generation has many more ways to generate income.

All three of the new Vivid girls are definitely escorts. They all think they can get by on their looks. People definitely noticed, because they’ve never seen Vivid girls that act like this. On trade day Vivid had all the new girls sitting at the table together. They chatted with each other and ignored the crowd. The next day, the rookies were mixed in with the rest of the roster in order to ‘learn the ropes’.

Alright, I know many of these girls have financial issues. But, it’s because of lack of income? I realize rates vary, but my understanding is it’s not uncommon at all for a girl to make $1,000 for a film with sex in it. You work 4 times a month, 12 months in a year, that’s $48K, albeit without benefits. However, these girls are young, medical insurance is cheap for them. You get a room-mate or two from the other porn whores, hopefully you can find some that aren’t drug addicts, and you got a little money left over. These whores can’t get 4 gigs a month?
$48K ain’t living the high-life, but it ain’t scraping the bone either.
I spent some time in a small town near the Gulf Coast a couple of months ago and the stripper I spent some time with at the club I went to said she had made $250 (about a hundred of which she had pulled out of my pocket), it was a slow night, and she still had a few more hours on her shift.
Maybe if they got financial advisers, they would just get advised to quit porn and make more money dancing.

Its not lack of income that causes financial problems. Too man girls date men that do not make good saleries so they pay for both theirs and the guys lifestyles. They buy them phones, cars, clothes, i.e. everything that they would buy for themselves. When they go out, the girl pays too.
Don’t you remember Briana Bank’s boyfriend stealing 20K in cash from her? Boyfriends do that too.

Lets face, a man who “dates” a woman that has sex with other men for a living is not exactly the image of male self esteem, that means that they must not be good earners!

iwasthere, k, thanks. I guess I read too much into one of your comments in previous post. Your last description is more in line with previous impressions of mine. And, it makes me visualize what these whores are doing a little better. Even if they got a financial representative, and they did save for awhile. Something would come up, they’d dig their money out of their accounts, paying tax penalties to get the money out of IRA’s. And, spend it.
It should be known amongst them who a standard full service financial firm is though. That used to be Merrill Lynch. I have no idea who it is now. Publicizing that, some money would make it through and get saved. Just not anywhere near what should be saved.

There are so many girls that take their boyfriends on vacations and pay for everything! Or they’ll bail their boyfriends out of jail and pay their legal bills like Devon.
The ones who are ready to leave porn wait until they are nearly broke and the work is a trickle.

I bet a lot of the girls get in the situation that it’s a lifestyle that if they stick around, they’re still not gonna be making sense. They just gotta cut loose a lot of them.
I’ve got Harvey thinking rationally about the situation now like I was trying to. I’m thinking iwasthere is right though, for a lot of these girls, I bet it’s just not that straightforward for a lot of them.
But yeah, some girls could make it happen.
