Samantha Brett: I know you’re probably always asked this, buy I’m fascinated: what made you get into porn in the first place?

Bobbi Starr: “I’ve always been a sexual person. I grew into a young lady who was fascinated by sexual images and sexual acts. I used to keep sexual journals. I couldn’t get enough. I lost my virginity again at a young age (it was a quick and awkward experience.) When I was a junior in college I met a boy and quickly fell in love with him. Soon (and I mean very soon) I came to discover that he worked for a fetish porn company in San Francisco. I struggled with it but mostly because I was very curious. Within one conversation he expressed that I should try working for this company. I thought to myself, “Yes! Yes, I should.” After much consideration regarding family, friends, school, career, etc I made the decision to go ahead and do it. I am still very happy with my decision and I will never regret it. I am a firm believer that you should always hold yourself accountable for your decision. Even if at some point this decision ‘destroys’ my life as I know, there will be a lesson learned that came from it.

Samantha Brett: What are the ups and downs of the job, metaphorically speaking?

Bobbi Starr:

“Up: having safe and ‘protected’ sex. What I mean is that the people within the porn pool make up some of the safest people to have sex with due to the regulation on testing (every 30 days.) Therefore when I go to work I consider myself protected.

Down: When someone within the porn pool has unprotected sex (i.e. without a condom) outside of the pool it potentially contaminates the protected circle. So, please always wear a condom to protect yourself and others against disease.

Up: The travelling is a wonderful advantage of this job. I’ve had the opportunity to travel all around the U.S. and the world. For example, Australia! I’ve fallen in love with this country.

Down: However, it has been difficult. It’s hard to know where and what your home is. I find myself missing my bed but I would trade in my experiences for the world.”

Samantha Brett: Craziest thing you’ve had to do?

Bobbi Starr: “Suspended 6ft in the air while having sex, sealed in a coffin and dunked into a fish tank!”

Samantha Brett: How do you feel about people looking at you naked all the time?

Bobbi Starr: “I don’t mind it all. I’m very proud of body the way it is, curves and all. We all have the same bits and pieces; they just all come in different shapes and sizes. Honestly, I think I look better naked than with clothes on!”

Samantha Brett: Are you recognised in the streets?”

Bobbi Starr: “Airports, yes. Otherwise I just get that, ‘I know you. I know you from somewhere. Don’t I?’ look.”

Samantha Brett: We’ve had a lot of discussion on this blog how porn affects relationships. Do you feel that porn helps or hinders?

Bobbi Starr: “It can open people’s minds to a part of life that they never would have either exposed themselves to or would have preferred to ignore. It also allows for some to feel more comfortable to try new experiences. Being open, whether that is directed towards sexual experiences or life itself will help a relationship.”

However, this is a profession that most people have difficult times dealing or coming to grips with. Personally, I am single right now because I keep meeting people who start out by saying, ‘I can deal with your job. I see you love it and I’m happy for you.’ Six month, maybe six weeks, maybe even six days later they realise it’s too much to deal with and I’ve received a lot of requests for me to quit my job, which I find amusing because I had been doing my job before I met them. What they fail to see is that my job is not what makes me who I am. Who I am is what makes me good at my job.”

Samantha Brett: Porn stars seem to be setting trends in terms of bikini waxes and man-scaping. What are the current trends? (including underwear)

Bobbi Starr: “I feel the porn trends are pretty cyclical. First natural, then manicured, now we are moving into a natural manicured stage. I don’t think the trends are a product of porn. I feel that it’s society in general. What you see in magazines and what you hear on TV is what sets trends it’s not really porn. If that was the case girls would be walking around town will a FULL face of make-up in their lingerie.

Samantha Brett: I’ve heard when you finish up in the porn industry, you want to be a gynaecologist. Why so?

Bobbi Starr: “For a few reasons! One: I’ve always had a passion for working in the medical field. Two: In the past few years I’ve ran into some very narrow-minded and untrustworthy gynaecologists. I feel a gynaecologist is a young woman’s most important doctor and she should feel very comfortable to talk to him/her about ANYTHING. Three: I think, in the US, the medical available to sex workers is unacceptable. And I’ve always been one to want to fight the good fight. Being someone who could offer proper healthcare to sex workers sounds like music to my ears.

Samantha Brett: Are videos still in, or is the web taking over?

Spencer Elden was just four months old when his parents took him along to a photo-shoot to help out a photographer friend in 1991.

Little did they realise their son’s naked body, arms outstretched, forever swimming after a one dollar bill, would go on to become one of the most iconic images in modern rock, adorning t-shirts and bedroom walls worldwide and some 26 million album covers.

Elden’s picture appeared on the front of Nirvana’s album Nevermind, the ground-breaking record from the Seattle grunge group that changed the face of popular music in the 1990s in part thanks to their massive hit Smells Like Teen Spirit.

The album knocked Michael Jackson’s Dangerous from the top of the charts and the naked baby became ubiquitous.

The naked baby is now 17, living in Los Angeles and having a “normal” life, despite his infant fame, he said in an interview with National Public Radio this week.

“Quite a few people in the world have seen my penis. So that’s kinda cool. I’m just a normal kid living it up and doing the best I can while I’m here.”

Elden tells NPR that he’s still struggling to process his accidental exposure, which happened when Kirk Weddle, the photographer working on the cover, called his friend Rick, Spencer’s dad.

“[He] calls us up and was like, ‘Hey Rick, wanna make 200 bucks and throw your kid in the drink?,’” Rick tells NPR. “I was like, ‘What’s up?’ And he’s like, ‘Well, I’m shooting kids all this week, why don’t you meet me at the Rose Bowl, throw your kid in the drink?’ And we just had a big party at the pool, and no one had any idea what was going on!”

It was only three months later when the family saw a gigantic poster of Spencer on Sunset Boulevard that they realised what had happened - Elden has said his parents hadn‘t even heard of Nirvana at the time. A few months after that Geffen Records sent a one-year-old Spencer a platinum album and teddy bear.

Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love reportedly agreed to take Spencer out to dinner when he was older after seeing the cover shot but this never happened as Cobain died in 1994.

In 2001, Elden re-created the Nirvana album shot for Rolling Stone to mark the 10th anniversary of Nevermind. And in 2003, he appeared on another album cover by the less well-known cEvin Key.

He’s also done interviews with NME and Channel 4 and seems in the main pretty comfortable with his juvenile exposure although he has admitted to MTV that it was “kind of creepy that that many people have seen me naked. I feel like I’m the world’s biggest porn star.”

The deal Luke and I made is finalized. We have signed a contract and my web-master is finishing up with the change over details. Truthfully, I don’t cares if people know the sale price or conditions of the contract, but it is also Luke’s agreement and he might not want that all put out there.

I don’t know who the former owner’s of LIB where. All I know is they said it was too much work to write the site everyday, and they weren’t making enough money on it, so they returned it to Luke.

Since I write a site 5 days a week anyway (CindisNakedTruth.com), I didn’t think it would be that much more work to write LIB. I was wrong. LIB takes constant attention because people are reading and posting on it 24/7.

When I started writing LIB I wanted to keep who I was private because there was no deal yet. Luke and I hashed out the details and went back and forth for about two weeks before we had a signed contract. So for that period of time I didn’t see any reason to say who I really was, in case we decided not to/or couldn’t agree to make a deal.

I must say it isn’t easy to do business anonymously using only MySpace.com, lol.

As time went on I left clues as to who I was, some intentionally, some unintentionally. I’ve learned a lot, and I have a lot more to learn.

I have enjoyed the ride so far, and I really love saying what I feel like saying, instead of worrying about who I am going to piss off.

I’ve been in this biz as a writer now for 15 years and I’ve made tons of good friends. I have also made, just a few enemies….. they might wish they were nicer to me now.

Troyer filed a $20 million lawsuit against porn broker Kevin Blatt, distributor SugarDVD and celebrity gossip Web site TMZ after snippets of the 50-minute tape he made with an ex-girlfriend were released last month.

Court records show Blatt and SugarDVD have signed agreements requiring that they get Troyer’s approval before selling or distributing the tape or any images from it.

Edwin McPherson, one of Troyer’s attorneys, said the actor has no intention of ever granting approval.

Prominent tax lawyer Louis Posner; his wife, Betty; and 19 others were arrested on a variety of prostitution and money-laundering charges at The Hot Lap Dance Club, which the couple ran out of a velvet-heavy loft, police said.
