Janine Lindemulder sentenced to 6 months in federal prison.

I’m surprised by this and think it’s too severe of a sentence. Most child abusers don’t ever see the inside of a prison cell but Janine gets six months for not paying her taxes. And it’s not like Janine has a history defrauding the government. Could it be because she still does porn that she got this harsh of a sentence?
Janine also has a child. I don’t know the extent of the custody arrangements she and ex-husband Jesse James have. But I wonder who will take care of her child while she’s away. It’s long been said Jesse beat Janine while they were married and beat her while she was pregnant with their child. He leaves her for current wife, actress Sandra Bullock, while Janine was pregnant. Jesse then wanted a paternity test saying he now doesn’t think the child is his but only after he left Janine for Sandra. The rumors are that Jesse and Sandra did indeed turn in Janine to the IRS so to get custody of her child. Jesse and Sandra had been trying to get custody since they married.
Are these the kind of people you want watching over Janine’s child? Janine has her flaws but I have never heard anything against her as a mother while there are many negative things against Jesse. What Jesse has done to Janine will eventually be done to Sandra. If Sandra doesn’t think so, she’s a fool. He left his pregnant wife for her and was abusive to Janine throughout their entire marriage. Jesse also currently has his own legal problems being sued by his former lawyer and former business partner. Has he paid his taxes?? I wouldn’t trust Jesse and Sandra to water my plants!
Janine was sentenced to 6 months in federal prison, has to pay about $300,000 in outstanding taxes, followed by one year of supervised release where she must participate in a residential community corrections center for an additional six months.
Janine is now living in Huntington Beach, California and is ordered to report to prison on March 10, 2009.

She got that much time because she was a porn star. Ginger Lynn got jail time too for the same thing, but not as much time as Janine got. She also went broke during the process.
Jesse is an asshole and Sandra is a cunt. It was said it her idea to try to get full custody of Janine’s daughter. I have seen nothing to prove Janine is an unfit parent. Her son seems to have grown up normally, and that can’t be said for lots of kids his age today.
Good luck to Janine. I hope she bounces back from this. I’ve always liked her.

Our tax system is arcane. The maze of rules is ridiculous. I was just talking to a guy last week who dropped out of high school in the 60’s and makes maybe $25K/year running a wholesale fishery business plus social security. A few years ago he got divorced, got busy, messed up in his head, and didn’t pay taxes that year because he didn’t understand a few of the things he was supposed to do. He let it slip a few more years and a couple of months ago he walked into the tax office to make amends and walked out with $10K in back taxes and penalties. Janine could have hired someone but I’d be horribly surprised if she were business savvy in any way. It wasn’t like she walked into a store with a gun. She was just stupid and lazy.
Support the FairTax. It not only dramatically simplifies the tax code but also greatly limits the number of people who have to fool with the tax laws.

Yeah, I was probably giving her too much credit after having talked to that fisherman last week. Greedy had to have been a big part of it. Stupid, lazy, and greedy…
I figure the lazy part is in there because that’s always a part of not paying your taxes. Dealing with taxes is a hassle.

Right… I thought Janine might be different considering that she comes from a different generation of performers that is smarter than the current crop. Her peers Lisa Ann and Julia Ann seem to be doing fine, but Janine is definitely on a downward spiral. She cancelled a dance date a few months ago that would have paid well due to ‘injury’.

Janine has got to have some kind of story more interesting to most as to the old “how did you end up in porn” question. I just looked at the pic at the top again. It’s still stunning how absolutely gorgeous she is even though I already knew what she looked like. If you’re gonna use your body to make money, how hard is it to make decent money doing mainstream modeling?

It is not hard, but the work is not as frequent. I have an acquaintance who has modeled in NY, LA, and her hometown San Fran and she’s never made more than 25k a year. This is after more than five years.
Janine got started in modeling bikinis at 18 and went on from there to nudity, because there is a ton a of work than pays well. Same thing with Racquel Darrian, Debi Diamond, and Ashlyn Gere. I can think of quite a few of the late 80s and early 90’s generations who had legit mainstream gigs and some even had SAG cards. In mainstream, you can be stunningly beautiful and yet starve.

Is true many of the PW of the feature oriented early ninenties had some legitimate mainstream modeling ad acting background.
The chilhood sexual abuse survivor/junkie like Shannon Wilsey (Savannah), Margot Scott (Tiffany Million) was more rare then among the top performers. Gonzo who apeared in the nineties ruined that and brung the type to the front to the point that many of todays top girls are the childhood sexual abuse cronic PTSD type, Sophia Lynn was just the tip. Many other top girls are the same, Many of todays performers seem just a bit over masage parlor workers and streewalkers.
But Jannie said something interesting. She kept her real name as a PW to get back at her father. And she said tha her sister was a computer wiz.
I do not see sexual abuse. I see a woman that was a failure and a never do good kid in her fathers eyes compared to her sisters that took to porn to compensate for her laziness and low sefsteem by living of her looks by any means necessary.

Thats the best and most amazing summation I’ve ever heard of Janine. She’s like a mercenary, popping in and out of porn to get the most money possible. Even when she got that great payday from Vivid for doing guys, she split and went over to Digital Playground to get more cash without out even caring about burning bridges. Her erratic behavior makes more sense to me now.

I think I read Ginger went to prison for breaking probation twice. She got community service after the whole Traci Lords scandal. But broke that probation twice. Drugs I think. I always thought she went to prison because of Traci’s scandal but I was surprised it wasn’t because of Traci exactly but because of breaking probation. Can anyone else verify this?

I think the story about Ginger’s troubles was in some E! True Hollywood story on either Ginger, Traci, or the industry. I can vaguely remember Ginger on TV being interviewed about Traci and getting the feeling that Ginger despised Traci.

I think Janine’s first husband Grant may have played a role into getting into porn. He was a construction worker and quite a bit older than her. She supported him for her first 3-4 years in porn while he was out of work and sitting on the couch. After they divorced, for awhile she had to pay him a substantial amount of alimony because she was the higher earner. She really has bad taste in men, Grant, Vince Neil, Rachtman and Jesse James.

I think she has daddy issues but not molestation issues. She needs the aproval of a older male figure due to her sexuality, something she never got of ther father. I bet that her father saw her as a bad seed compared to her sisters.

Ginger should have paid her taxes and not break probation. It could have possibly been avoided if the government had nothing on her. But they did. She can’t blame Traci anymore.

Ginger Lynn is a classical chilhood abuse type sex worker that never sought any help and never tried to change and face her issues. Unlike Tracy who has done a serious effort to face her issues including years of therapy. Not facing her tax problems fit her profile of denial.
Ginger evaded tax issues until too late becasue she has a long history of denial.
Jannine is the antihero type of sex worker, the “I’m going to be a sucess at being a failure” type (see Sasha Gray). She was just lazy and trying to play a game of being smarter that the IRS.

Not, not Carmen, she is one of those Latin whores from poor background that while probably not proud of what she does for a living in private, knows that porn pays the bills and she is profesional and at peace with what she does for a living. Many Eastern European whores are like that.

Yes, yes, yes! It really disturbed me; she was plucked out of obscurity for a contract and did not seem to be flourishing. She would seemingly clean it up for AVN floor appearances, but for appearances in LA in between, she’d be shaking badly.
