I don’t understand the appeal of Eva Longoria. Thalia is now married to Mariah Carey’s ex-husband. And Paulina Rubio is the wild child out of all of them. Thalia and Paulina tried to cross over to U.S. English but it didn’t really happen except for one or two songs each.

I’m not a big Eva Longoria fan; that said, I wouldn’t kick her out of bed, either. To be honest, most of the rest of the group (aside from Selma Hayek) I’ve never heard of. I guess I should watch more Telemundo. There are almost always scantily clad Latina ladies on that channel.

The funny thing is that Jessica Alba and Eva Longoria are as Mexican as are porn stars Brooke Haven, Celeste Star, Jenna Presley and mainstrean actresses Sarah Paxton and Alexis Bledel (those two even speak Spanish).
They all are in fact half mexicans. Only one parent is actually Mexican. The other is a white American.
But there is a lookism of how a Mexican should look like.
So Jessica Alba and Eva Longoria look “Mexican” and they are promoted as Mexicans.
But the others who all also half Mexicans but do not look like a Mexican are not promoted as Mexicans.
BTW There is another porn star contract girl that is half hispanic and even speaks and writes in Spanish well because she was raised by her mom in a Spanish speaking country but she is never promoted as a Latina because she is a blue eyed blonde. She is more latina that Evan Angelina!
Talk about Stereotypes.
